Our Norwich based publishing client has appointed Badger Associates as their exclusive recruitment partner. They are currently looking for a number of telephone sales operators to work in their busy call centre encouraging major international companies to take a feature article in the company’s publications. Only the best will do for these roles as the sales process does not simply involve order taking. Candidates must have an excellent telephone manner and voice projection. More that half the calls will be to overseas organisations, and you will be speaking to senior people within your contact’s organisation. Confidence and the ability to think and react quickly are essential characteristics as hesitation can lose the contact’s attention. You will ideally be aged from 22 – 50 years old. This role is unlikely to suit anyone younger. You will project an image that is positive and assertive without being overbearing and will be able to demonstrate an ability to be rational and organised throughout the sales process. Being able to handle rejection is also important as disappointments are part of the job. It is almost certain that you will already be working in a sales based position where your telephone manner is very important to your success.
There is an excellent rewards package available and great career progression opportunities. You will be money motivated as salaries start at £13k + bonus with most people earning at around £20k very quickly. This base salary rises to £15k after three months and on to £18k as a Team Leader.
